Let’s be clear. Anyone is welcome to attend our church. In fact, you don’t even have to be a Christian to do so! (That’s kind of the point of our manifesto).
But because of that inclusivity (anyone can be an attender), we also need to be clear on what it means to be a member*. Because membership does in fact mean something! Every member is an attender, but not every attender is a member. To call oneself a member is to meet certain measurable criteria. In that sense, partnering with us is more exclusive.
Our membership class is both an explanation and an invitation to that privilege. Our hope is that you would say “yes” to joining us in this meaningful way!
* We use the terms member & partner interchangeably.
Who is this for?
- You’ve been attending City Gates for a while now, but would like to take “mere attendance” to the next level. This meeting is for you.
- You have not graced us with your presence yet, as you’d rather take a peak “under the hood” before paying us a visit. Feel free to join us at this class as well!
Partnership with City Gates can be summed up under five commitments. Basically, we ask our members to:
